At the WATOC 2025 conference held in Oslo, prof. Ph.D. Katharina Boguslawski received the Dirac Medal awarded in 2022.
At the WATOC 2025 (World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists) conference held in Oslo, prof. Ph.D. Katharina Boguslawski received the Dirac Medal awarded in 2022.
The World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC) is a scientific association founded in 1982 „to support the development and application of theoretical methods' in chemistry, especially theoretical chemistry and computational chemistry.
The Dirac Medal is awarded annually to one outstanding theoretical and computational chemist under the age of 40. To meet the age requirement for a given year, applicants must be under 40 years of age at the beginning of that year. The medalist is elected by the Management Board in an electronic vote. WATOC members may propose candidates by email to the WATOC President.
Prof. Boguslawski received this distinction for developing new quantum chemistry methods for ground states and excited strongly and poorly correlated systems based on tensor lattice state-based approaches such as DMRG link.
Congratulations!!! And we wish you further success.
